My newest pattern, ASCENT, is being released at the end of this week. I am giving away two digital copies of the pattern on my Instagram page to celebrate!
ASCENT features textured panels that were inspired by alpine rock fields, complemented by ascending panels of slipped stitches. This pattern was inspired by exploring the backcountry, getting lost in the landscape, and the journey of the climb.
The sample hat shown below was created using Hinterland Range (Smoke). Hanahlie’s yarn is absolutely fantastic, a blend of 50% Canadian Rambouillet and 50% Alpaca from her own farm. I have used Range for three of my designs so far – while you don’t have to use this yarn to create these patterns for yourself, I highly recommend it. The yarn is very soft and warm, and will create a beautiful accessory. The natural colours of the wool are perfect if you love neutral colours.
